Active in the Real Estate field, Vickie has served the local Southwest Virginia Association of Realtors as President twice. She has served as Chair of the Membership Committee, Awards, and RPAC Committees, has served on ethics, professional standards and budget committees, and as member of the Virginia Delegate Body 2000-2002 and 2010-2012. She was voted REALTOR OF THE YEAR IN 2001 AND 2012 by her peers in the local association.Vickie was awarded the Most Referred Real Estate Agents designation in 2004. Over 52,000 Realtors were surveyed and asked who they would recommend to their friends for honestly, integrity, professionalism and market knowledge, if they themselves were not available to sell Real Estate in Marion. Vickie was chosen by her peers as a result of this survey. She is active in the community and served on the Smyth County Housing Committee 1998-2000. Vickie has served on the Emory and Henry School of Sciences Housing Committee and the Marion EDA and Smyth County Board of Equalization.
She has recently been a member of the Board of Trustees for the Smyth Bland Regional Library and has served as Chair. Vickie is also very active in her church serving as Pianist, Church Clerk, Treasurer, Sunday School Teacher, Bible School Director, Operation Christmas Child Coordinator, Widow/ Widower Christmas Boxes and any capacity where help is needed.
Vickie realizes "HOME" and "FAMILY" are the important keys to a long and happy life. She is a native of Chilhowie and resides just outside of town with her husband of 49 years, Eddie. They enjoy the great mountain scenery and season changes with their children and 6 grandchildren. The family built their own home and enjoys home improvement projects as a hobby.
